Atheist attacked by the Holy Spirit on way to supermarket

EAP: Ella Thompson had never been a believer in God and was always quick to scoff at claims of the supernatural and spiritual experiences by contemporaries. Pius Christians would always offer her prayers, plagued by epileptic fits as she was. She always retorted "Doctors have helped me more than any god". She always claimed that God never seemed able to dispense his blessings without the help of accredited experts here on earth.

All that changed on the 29th when proselytising Fred Bork had promised to pray for Ella on that particular day. The initial response from Ella was that she expected to be remarkably unmoved by the experience. On that day Ella was walking to her local supermarket and started shaking uncontrollably, finally collapsing against a wall. Close friend, Freida Hansburg reported she saw a grey ghostly figure grabbing her, throwing her against the wall and held her down so that the more she struggled, the more tightly the spirit held her. Freida reported that the spirit said nothing. Finally she passed out and lost consciousness.

Ella's mother, Helen Thompson, reported that her daughter was grabbed by an unseen spirit who held her and spoke as the Holy Spirit insisting that she complete her life filled by the holy spirit. The spirit said he was moved by the intercession of Fred Bork.

An EAP corespondent interviewed pastor Graham Jason who reportedly knows of and has prayed for years for Ella Thompson, even going so far as to have acquired a broken nose from a slammed door in his face by Ella. When asked about the inconsistent accounts of the Holy Spirit attack on Ella the pastor replied that the inconsistency strengthened the value of this witness to the holy spirit because all such accounts shared a tendency to be inconsistent. This inconsistency was consistent with such holy spirit witness events. "There is just no chance that this could not have been an intercession by the Holy Spirit", the pastor replied. The pastor was asked about the possibility that her history of epilepsy was more consistent with her episode than the Holy Spirit. He replied "If this was just an epileptic fits then the eye witness accounts would not have varied so much. The differing accounts of fitting accompanied by hallucinations can in no way be explained by a history of epileptic seizures."
And what does Ella, the girl at the very centre of the story, say of the experience? She says since the encounter she has come to terms with the fact that she was wrong to predict that she would feel "remarkably unmoved". She was indeed thrown against a wall. "You can't be moved any more obviously then that", she told reporters.

But wasn't that attack by the Holy Spirit a rather violent encounter?"; she was asked.

"Yes but I now realise that when God moves in mysterious ways, those ways are often violent. When God acts in accordance with his nature God is good and does good. When God acts in ways contrary to his nature then he is moving in mysterious ways."

Ella Thompson is now quite recovered from her ordeal. However following the attack Ella was admitted to hospital for observation. She was forced to leave the hospital by a side window lowered in a basket to avoid a media scrum. Psychiatrist Dr Alfred Adelier told EAP that he has been treating a number of victims following Holy Spirit attacks for PTSD.

The attack on Ella Thompson is one of a growing number of reports of attacks on people in the street by the Holy Spirit.
